Purpose:

LRAC is a committee strictly for gathering information on every addressable structure in the Many Farms Community, This is to enhance the effective and rapid location of properties by public safety personnel, including law enforcement, fire, rescue, and emergency medical services personnel in the rural areas of the Navajo Nation.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the LRAC Employees under the Many Farms Chapter House, our first task was to make sure that the Chapter House passed a Chapter Resolution that supports the Enhanced 9-1-1 and Rural Addressing. Our most important responsibility as LRAC employees is working effectively together to assist with planning, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of rural addressing. As well as providing a positive, supportive, and respectful attitude toward the community members.

Plus Code Map:

A Plus Code is a free, open-source digital addressing system developed by Google that uses an alphanumeric code to identify any location on Earth based on its latitude and longitude. These codes are shorter and easier to share than traditional global coordinates, providing a universal method to pinpoint locations for services like deliveries, emergency responses, and social services, especially where street addresses are lacking.
